About MACH Alliance

The MACH Alliance is a not-for-profit industry body that advocates for open and best-of-breed enterprise technology ecosystems. The Alliance aims to educate and support the industry as a whole on what to look out for when moving from legacy infrastructure and going composable, including when, where and how to start and select partners. Our role is more important than ever as adoption of MACH continues apace. The Alliance is a vendor-neutral institution that provides resources, education and guidance through industry experts to support companies on their journey.

MACH is an industry tech standard describing modern technology. The prerequisites to achieve this standard are: Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless. Our MACH Certification gives enterprises confidence they are choosing best-in-class vendors that can deliver future-proof technology.

MACH is also increasingly a global community of people exploring the alternative to older systems that do not offer the agility the business requires, and experts who have been through the entire transition already. The latter group - true leaders who transform businesses - come together as MACH Alliance Ambassadors. Our Ambassadors are with companies who have been through a transformation. Based on their experience and learnings they advocate for education and adoption of MACH globally.

Manifesto

Manifesto

"Future proof enterprise technology and propel current and future digital experiences"

Customer expectations are disrupting every market, and traditional enterprise technology suites can’t keep up. The MACH Alliance presents and advocates for composable, truly open and future-proof best-of-need architecture - microservices-based, API-first, cloud-native SaaS, and headless. It exists to protect MACH core principles, as the gatekeeper to ensuring MACH as a category is understood and not undermined by vendor ‘MACH-washing’. Our members are invited on that journey with us, helping support agile, nimble businesses ready to take advantage of the latest innovations as they emerge.

Modern technology has evolved, enabling new ways to think about and do business. The MACH Alliance is the only organization helping companies take advantage of the most innovative and flexible enterprise technologies available.

With single vendor technology platforms, organizations run the risk of locking themselves into a set of limited capabilities that are pending upgrades in a next release. However, customer expectations are disrupting every market at MACH speed. Acting slowly is no longer a viable option.

Rising to be at the forefront of this shift requires a different approach to business solutions. We believe the only way is to be backed by a software ecosystem that provides a flexible, truly open and future-proof architecture.

The Alliance’s mission is to propel current and future digital experiences with open and connected enterprise technology. Collectively our voice represents the next generation of technology and business.

The MACH Alliance ensures the best-of-breed alternative is clear, visible and omni-present, by:

  • Sharing technical knowledge about MACH, and why and when it is better than what a suite can offer.
  • Creating and sharing best practices that show organizations how to transition to a MACH architecture, as well as its products and services, by leveraging case studies and peer-to-peer networking between organizations planning to make the transition with those that already have.

  • Listing and explaining selection criteria for enterprises, such as what to ask for when RFP’ing best-of-breed tech vendors and what criteria to use during the selection process. This information will be provided in the form of white papers, events, articles and more.

  • Publishing technical documentation, such as architectural blueprints and other technical content, demonstrating how to integrate MACH technologies.

  • Developing and hosting MACH Alliance events and serving as a collective resource at key events to demonstrate and educate the industry on the benefits of adopting an open, cloud-native, API first headless architecture technology ecosystem.
